Symbolic meaning of Elephant’s Heart logo

Elephant’s Heart logo shows two elephants – one adult and a little one. The big one symbolises a mature adult – the part of us that’s responsible, strong, loving and caring. The little one symbolises the inner child that needs to be nurtured, held, feel seen, heard and loved.
When the inner child doesn’t receive the care it needs, it acts out and eventually disconnects. The process of healing burnout is about inviting back the vulnerable, sensitive, hidden and scared parts of ourselves. This includes making space for all the unexpressed emotions held in the body and tending to the inner wounds, which are weighting us down.
When both parts work together, there’s nothing that can stop us from going where we want to go. But when the inner child is hurting, feeling defensive and acting out – this is where we find ourselves stuck. On the surface we may look successful and as though we’re having the time of our lives, while feeling deeply unhappy and trapped in a life we don’t recognise as our own.
